Who is Brenda Adelman? And why do I teach this?
My entire world was blown apart one night with one bullet. My father shot my mother in her head killing her. Within a month he moved in with and then married her sister, my aunt.
I lost my whole family in that one night. I lost my life the way I thought it would be.
The thing that changed everything for the better was when I discovered how to forgive my father.
(FYI: I forgave him and took him to court for Wrongful Death so I don't teach forgiveness as condoning, forgetting or having someone in your life who does not take responsibility for their actions)
I was honored to receive the Hero of Forgiveness Award, have presented my story for audiences worldwide including for women prisoners, youth-at-risk and for spiritual communities and my book, My Father Killed My Mother and Married My Aunt: Forgiving the Unforgivable features my 3 Step Proven Forgiveness Process.
I've been interviewed on over 100 radio shows, podcasts and TV shows, appeared in global publications and have an online 30 day forgiveness intensive, Phoenix Rising. I am devoted to passing on what I've learned about forgiveness and setting healthy boundaries so that more people can experience love, intimacy and an open heart after being betrayed.
